Financial support amounting to 2,500 lei for IT equipment and other incentives
SUPPORT FOR EMPLOYEES IN CASE OF REDUCTION OF WORK TIME
Employers have the possibility to reduce the working time of employees by at least 50% of the duration provided in the individual employment contract, with the information and consultation of the union, of the employees’ representatives or of the employees. The reduction of the working time can be of at least 5 consecutive working days, the employer having the obligation to establish the work schedule for the whole month.
During the period of applicability of the mentioned measure, the hiring of personnel for the performance of activities identical or similar to those performed by the employees whose working time has been reduced is prohibited.
During the reduction of working time, the employees affected by the measure benefit from an indemnity of 75% of the difference between the gross basic salary provided in the individual employment contract and the gross basic salary related to the hours actually worked, in addition to the due salary rights, calculated at the time actually worked.
The indemnity thus paid will be reimbursed from the unemployment insurances if the following conditions are cumulatively fulfilled:
a) The measure affects at least 10% of the number of employees of the unit
b) The turnover in the previous month or the month before the previous month decreased by at least 10% compared to the same period last year.
Employers who have received their employees at work (including telework) outside the established schedule may be subject to fine of 20,000 lei for each identified person, without exceeding the value of 200,000 lei.
MEASURES APPLICABLE TO DAILY WORKERS
Daily workers with activity in certain fields, affected by the interruption or restriction of the activity s a result of the effects of COVID 19, are granted from the state budget an amount representing 35% of the remuneration due to the working day. The measure is applied for a maximum period of 3 months, at the choice of the beneficiary of works, but not later than 31.12.2020. The remuneration is paid by the beneficiaries of works and is subsequently settled from the state budget.
SUPPORT FOR EMPLOYEES FOR A DETERMINED PERIOD
For employees who conclude individual employment contracts for a determined period of up to 3 months, a quota of 41.5% of the salary from the unemployment budget is ensured, but not more than 41.5% of the average gross salary.
MEASURES FOR PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
In case of temporary reduction of the activity, professionals and persons who have concluded individual labor agreements, benefit upon request based on the declaration on their own responsibility from a monthly allowance of 41.5% of the gross salary in the country (41.5% of 5,429 lei). The duration of application, the payment procedure and the categories of professionals are established by Government decision.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT OF 2,500 LEI FOR EMPLOYEES IN TELEWORKING
Employers can obtain a financial support of 2,500 lei for each employee in teleworking, in order to purchase packages of goods and technological services necessary to carry out the activity. The support is granted for the employees who worked during the state of emergency for at least 15 days in telework regime. The method of granting and the categories of goods will be established in 10 days by order of the Minister of Labor.
