Embracing Our Responsibility as a Kreston Member Firm

Being a member firm of the global Kreston brand is a responsibility we take seriously. We understand that we are part of something big and important, sharing the “Power of Purpose,” as we say at Kreston. While maintaining our independence as a firm, we continuously seek ways to align with global campaigns. One such initiative is Kreston Week, a momentous occasion where we celebrate the Kreston brand alongside other member firms, uniting under one hashtag.

Our approach to Kreston Week was unique and eco-conscious this year as we proudly embraced the theme “Going Green for Kreston.” In alignment with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we selected specific goals that resonated with Kreston Global’s mission, setting the stage for a week of purposeful activities.

The Sustainable Journey Begins: Planning and Preparation

Before diving into the week itself, we took the time to educate our team about the UN’s SDGs and highlighted those embraced by Kreston Global. We shared this knowledge through informative booklets, creating awareness and inspiring action.

In a shift towards sustainability, we decided to extend the lifespan of our special Kreston Week T-shirts, reducing the environmental impact of ordering new ones each year.

Kreston Week: A Green Affair (September 25-29)

  • Monday: Shades of Green

Our week began with a sea of green—team members dressed in various shades of green, reflecting our commitment to environmental responsibility. The office was abuzz with freshness and enthusiasm.

  • Tuesday: The Greenhunt

A playful twist was added on Tuesday with the Greenhunt. Ten green items were cleverly hidden throughout the office. The catch? Participants had to locate these green treasures during the day, adding a sense of adventure and camaraderie.

  • Wednesday: Office Flea Market

Wednesday brought a unique opportunity for team members to connect on a personal level. We transformed our office into a flea market, encouraging everyone to bring items for exchange. This initiative breathed new life into cherished possessions, fostering a sense of community and sustainability.

  • Thursday: Healthy Culinary Adventure

We embarked on a culinary adventure on Thursday, shopping for ingredients together to prepare salads, fruit salads, and other healthy and delicious dishes. A shared meal always strengthens bonds, and this day was no exception.

  • Friday and Weekend: Team Building for fun and engagement

As the week drew to a close, we engaged in team-building activities that reinforced our connections and unity. It was a day of laughter, learning, and building lasting memories.

The weekend was reserved for even more fun and engaging team-building activities. We encouraged team members to contribute their ideas, ensuring a diverse and enjoyable lineup.

Meanwhile, our green week gave us a unique opportunity to participate alongside other member firms in “Ma Petite Planète,” a game to collect points through green-themed activities over three weeks.

Walking the Talk: Our Green Strategy

Our commitment to sustainability doesn’t end with Kreston Week. We are developing a comprehensive green strategy encompassing internal policies, carbon footprint calculation, certifications, and participation in environment-related webinars and events.

A Green Office in Timpuri Noi

Our office is situated in the Timpuri Noi office complex, where all three buildings within the project hold LEED PLATINUM certification, emphasizing green solutions and energy efficiency. This sustainable, eco-friendly setting reflects our values and commitment to a greener future.

As a community, we all have a responsibility to prioritize sustainability. Fortunately, even small actions can make a significant impact. We believe taking small steps toward sustainability is better than taking no steps. You don’t have to take on all of these steps at once. Start with one or two that resonate with you and gradually add more over time. As a global community, we have a collective responsibility and the opportunity to create a brighter and more sustainable future. Every small action matters, and working together can make a significant difference.
