{"id":10411,"date":"2018-03-19T12:46:23","date_gmt":"2018-03-19T09:46:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kreston.ro\/2020\/06\/10\/regulating-new-health-measures\/"},"modified":"2020-06-10T14:53:45","modified_gmt":"2020-06-10T11:53:45","slug":"regulating-new-health-measures","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kreston.ro\/en\/2018\/03\/19\/regulating-new-health-measures\/","title":{"rendered":"Regulating new health measures"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Government Emergency Ordinance no. 8\/2018 regulating new health measures was published in the Official Gazette no. 190\/01.03.2018.<\/p>\n<p>For the granting of sick leave indemnity, as a derogation, until 01 July 2018, the minimum contribution is 1 month during the last 12 months prior to sick leave (previously on 1 January 2018 the duration of the contribution was modified to 6 months).<\/p>\n<p>In the case of persons who, during 1 January 2018 &#8211; 30 June 2018, have been or are either in:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>&#8211; sick leave for temporary incapacity to work, caused by common diseases or accidents outside work; or<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>&#8211; for the prevention of illness and recovery of work capacity, exclusively for situations resulting from accidents at work or professional diseases,\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>starting with January 2018 declaratory obligations, if the CAS rate on social health insurance indemnity results in a higher amount of the social insurance contribution than the 10.5% rate applied to 35% x 3.131 lei (the average gross salary for economy in 2017), corresponding to the number of working days of sick leave, the amount of the social insurance contribution due can not be higher than this level. Otherwise, the CAS is calculated as 25% of the value of the indemnity.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the case of persons who, between 1 January 2018 and 30 September 2018, have been or are on <strong><em>maternity sick leave or for the care of the sick child<\/em><\/strong>, starting with January 2018 declaratory obligations, if the application of the CAS rate on social health insurance indemnity results in a higher amount of the social insurance contribution than the 10.5% rate applied to 35% x 3.131 lei, corresponding to the number of working days of sick leave, the amount of the social insurance contribution due can not be higher than this level.
