{"id":10067,"date":"2019-02-20T16:36:08","date_gmt":"2019-02-20T13:36:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kreston.ro\/2020\/06\/05\/basic-air-connectivity-in-the-event-of-no-deal-brexit\/"},"modified":"2020-06-05T16:51:32","modified_gmt":"2020-06-05T13:51:32","slug":"basic-air-connectivity-in-the-event-of-no-deal-brexit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kreston.ro\/en\/2019\/02\/20\/basic-air-connectivity-in-the-event-of-no-deal-brexit\/","title":{"rendered":"Basic air connectivity in the event of no-deal Brexit"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Today, the Romanian presidency of the EU Council reached a provisional agreement with the European Parliament on measures to mitigate the severe disruption to air connectivity for passengers and freight between the EU and the United Kingdom in the event that the UK leaves the EU without a deal.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement will enable UK-licenced carriers to provide basic air transport services between the UK and the remaining 27 member states. These rights will be conditional on equivalent rights being conferred by the UK and subject to conditions ensuring fair competition.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement will now be submitted for approval by member states\u2019 ambassadors in the Council\u2019s Permanent Representatives Committee.<\/p>\n<p>The regulation still needs to be formally adopted by both Parliament and the Council.
